Hi I’m Amanda!

Service is simply part of my nature. My goal is to make every part of the transaction, whether a purchase or a sale, as seamless as possible. I take pride in helping clients understand the ever-changing real estate market. My practice is both data driven and heart focused. I’ll advise you on how to stay competitive while safeguarding your financial future.

As a homeowner I know how stressful buying and selling can be. I understand that it can feel intimidating and overwhelming, but I’ve got you from start to finish. My education-focused approach will help you feel secure, supported and prepared for each step of the process.

I moved to Portland after completing my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa and my Master’s degree from the University of Washington. My background in patient care as a Speech-Language Pathologist, hospital leadership and hospitality helped hone my diverse skillset. As both a guide and a advocate, I form strong connections with my clients as we navigate the buying and selling process together.

Portland has been my home for nearly 20 years. I’ve owned homes in both SE and SW. In my free time I enjoy hiking, weight training, playing with my dogs, learning about the plants in my yard, cooking, and traveling with my husband.

History of ASULA

ASULA started as a family vision to create supportive vibrant communities and inspire others to enjoy and embrace life. The name was created in the early 2000s by blending Amanda, Suzy and Laila, three sisters who are united to fulfill the mission statement albeit with three different companies.

We come from a long line of healers. Our family name Nematbakhsh is Persian and translates to “Gift-Giving”, and we continue to honor the spirit of our heritage to support those in our community. Each sister created their own branch of business, Amanda with ASULA Realty, Suzy with ASULA Chiropractic in Hood River, and Laila at ASULA Wellness Center in Portland.

Definitions of ASULA

  • A peaceful being, one without thorns

  • A settlement, a village, a town

  • The realization of debt, (like a mortgage!)
